brainstrust supports people with a brain tumour and their families so that they are less afraid,
less alone and more in control.
Founded in 2006, the charity provides coaching via a 24/7 helpline and accredited online information and support to over 30,000 people. With its knowledge of clinicians across the country the charity is able to offer treatment options to patients looking for second opinions. It co-founded the BRAIN UK national tissue bank registry at the University of Southampton in 2011, and has worked with Public Health England to make cancer records available to the public so that people can make more informed choices about their care.
