I decided to take on a skydive in honour of a very close friend someone who is more like family to me than a friend.
Over the past two years, I have watched him fight this disease with incredible courage and determination as he continues to fight for more time with those he loves.
Sadly, he is now terminally ill, but through the unwavering support of his family, friends, and the exceptional team at The Swallows, he and his wife have received extraordinary care and support during the toughest time of their lives.
I wanted to raise money for this fantastic charity so they can continue providing care, support, and guidance to more people living with head and neck cancer, as well as their families.
On Friday 1st May, I finally took the leap from an airplane at 13,000 feet to complete my charity skydive.
It was absolutely incredible, exciting, terrifying and unforgettable all at the same time, but doing it for this wonderful charity and for my dear friend Grant Craven, made it completely worthwhile.
So far, I have raised an amazing £2,185 and the total is still growing as further donations continue to come in from local communities and bucket collections.
Thank you so much to every single person who donated to this incredible charity, your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.
A huge thank you as well to everyone who came to the airfield to support me on the day.
If you would like to support me then you can still donate – HERE
